I’ve just discovered “excuses”  as a scheme of the enemy against our pursuit of righteousness and holiness.  I mean, it’s all in our head, what we think, what we hear. It’s like this . . .God undertands . . . Everybody else does it . . .What does God expect me to do? . . .It’s only natural.

All excuses are contrary to faith!  Everyone hears excuses to do what they mostly know is wrong.  The excuses we hear give us permission to go ahead with that certain behavior,  gossip, unforgiveness, sexual perversion, judgements, etc.

Is this a big discovery, Lord?

A:  Huge, Beloved.  Haven’t I said the devil is subtle and crafty to deceive you.  He wants to make sure that You never die to fleshly behavior.   It’s the same old, “Has God really said”, line from the garden. He has never changed his tactics because humanity still falls for it.

If you are taking every thought captive to My Word you will discover these deceptions. Compromise will always be a step backward and never the Holy Spirt’s leading.

Concerning behavior you don’t want to surrender, Beloved, know that choosing what’s right will always be a much bigger step upward than you could think or imagine that’s why the enemy 

is so intent on getting you to believe his lies.
